ADVENTURES OF A “NEWBIE” IN AFFILATE MARKETING

It all started with a book, RichdadPoorDad, that my fiancée gave me which I highly recommend. In less than 24 hrs. I had devoured it and decided that I needed to read some more, so I bought the whole series. Great reading, makes you really think about where you are and where you want to be.

I went to work on creating a new source of income. As I am already self-employed as a truck driver, I needed to find something that I could do while on the road. I use a laptop to find loads, so I started there, surfing the web to see what I could find, wow, is there a lot of information out there. I looked thru several sites before I came across some that looked like something that I could manage on the road.

Now, I’m all signed up, NOW WHAT, so I starting reading thru the training pages, my upline started sending emails about the next steps, so I signed up for 2 marketing sites and started reading.

As I read thru the courses, I tried to apply some of the concepts that I read about, well it didn’t work like the books said it would, mostly because I wasn’t using a complete marketing plan, just pieces. What I should have done was read thru the entire course so that I understood how each concept worked as part of the whole. And that is what I recommend that anyone who is as naïve and lacking in computers skills as I am. Pg 2 Read thru the course, making notes, questions, and contacting your sponsor who should be very interested in your success, go further up the line till you find someone who is willing to help. Then and only then, can you come up with great marketing plan that will allow you to meet your goals.

Don’t be in a big hurry, most things that last take some time, give yourself the time to learn all the new skills that your going to need to be successful. Who knows, YOU might be the next “GURU” And NEVER, NEVER GIVE UP!!!
