If you've done much research about Search Engines yourself, you've learned there is quite an on-going debate about just how useful/necessary promoting and getting high rankings for your Web site in them is. In our own research, we've heard everything from, "80 - 90 % of your traffic will come from Search Engines" to, "It's a waste of time" ... And especially when you're just developing your own Web site, it's hard to know which way to go.

So, we've decided all we can do is share with you our own experiences and decisions about how to handle this controversial aspect of promotion, and then you can decide for yourself.

Bottom Line…

To generate income, you first have to have as many visitors and/or as much traffic to your Web site as possible - So ANY avenue of promotion is good! We believe the problem others may have run into with Search Engines is that they have spent a great deal of time and energy submitting and re-submitting to them without receiving the results they'd hoped for. Sad, but true - Not everyone can be #1 ... but… being in the top 20 is very respectable, and even being in the top 50 is considered pretty darn good - Especially if the list of results returned is in the millions! There can be no denying that this process can be time consuming and perhaps even grueling - IF you haven't first done your homework - RESEARCH!

And even while it's true enough that the criteria for submitting and how the different Search Engines index, (review), Web sites ... Their "algorithms", (or search/indexing criteria), can change quite frequently. But believe it or not ... You can achieve high rankings - IF you do your RESEARCH!

Now…

We've been telling you on our Web site(s) and in our newsletters that the staff has been and is doing the research for you, so you don't have to. Here's our opportunity to prove it to you. In fact, the majority of the pages , and even our newsletters and e-books, maintain very high rankings on many Search Engines. Which is to say we're "apparently" doing something right. (So, there's your first clue as to what we believe about how useful submitting to Search engines is)

Because...

Even before we submitted to the Search Engines, in fact, as we were building the Web site, we did our RESEARCH! And what we discovered was - The real #1 "trick" to getting and keeping such high rankings on Search Engines is to have lots of useful content rich with keywords! This is true even more so today! And why we will tell you repeatedly - To get the amount of visitors/traffic you need to achieve the level of income and success you want as an affiliate, you need "convincing" content full of exciting and enticing words!

Look for the words people use the most keywords when they're looking for the products/services you're promoting and put them in your content when you write a recommendation! Then go to any one of the major Search Engines and request, "search engine submissions", (with or without the quotation marks), and you'll receive many results!
